Labspace The Noise Project, Fun audio stomping grounds

Labspace studio out of Toronto is running a great collaborative effort called The Noise project.
It has been a great treat to go through the collaborators files and explorations.
Responses taking many forms and my gosh alot of people inspired with water based sounds (including myself.)
Please check it out at :http://thenoiseproject.net/challenges/
I love being spurred on to do something by this  voice that isn't my own.
I do have tremendous lists inside my own head of varying artistic nature, they become tedious without outside intervention.

also check out my attempts at entering back into sound explorations which I haven't done in some time tkidagee at noise project
The spring brings flowers and necessity for me as an artist to explore other avenues.
I feel like shedding this artists skin I have been wearing and go  wiggle around as a larvae somewhere. Time to experiment.

and this is as close as i got to being on a boat

hi honey i am on a boat.
well my shadow is.
on this particular day my daughter decided she wanted a boat , more like a yacht for what her specifications were, hot tub included although she is well prepared to flood the deck and  create a full boat hot tub situation so be warned.
she couldn't understand why no one else really needed to have a boat.
tim and i were nice with the kayak idea but in no way do i need a boat.
but she was on a roll that day and kept on and began becoming sorrowful the boat we would not have.
whats the joke whats the second best day for a boat owner ?
the day he sells his boat (or her boat) ok i am sure my delivery was a negative and my wording not quite spot on but you get the idea.
i am happy to visit boats take day trips , possibly stay on one a couple nights but i do not need to have a boat and would actually rather not.
thank you.

Hi ! what are you up to? i am creating noise.

spring is here.
i hear it mostly in the birds .
and what a great time of year to participate in a noise challenge!
and who better to participate with then 200 other international artists up for some creative casual fun at the http://thenoiseproject.net/category/
This is being put together (many thanks for doing it!!) by Labspace in Toronto.
our first challenge was to find the pulse of our city spaces.
mine was a murder of crows defending from birds of prey.
that is what i choose to be surrounded by in my soundspace, the crows drown out the cars and the construction and its amazing to have that stuff disappear.
i am having fun someone else set me tasks for a change - they are way more gentle and kind then the tasks i would set myself.
i am moving into the desire to sound collage.
its all here i did have fun editing those crows ...

This years sacrifice to Herne

this years sacrifice to Herne is in the form of a cat made of seed.
i found a three dimensional cake tin at value village what a score just in time for this years sacrificial cat.
back in the day the sacrificed real cats, then they made cakes in shapes of cats (when things were less rowdy.)
seed cat is good for all  the birds get to have a go at a cat, in a safe and fun recreational fashion.
Seed Cat.
blessed be the new year for one and all.

Rude Waffle

                Boxing day
the previous days uneaten pancake batter became thin waffles on boxing day. Tiggy found this all very offensive and wanted to do his part by destroying such an offensive waffle. i tried to tell him it was just a word like any other word- no strength other then in how it is used.
alas he was not consoled.
he was truly sickened by the whole thing and after wards suffered terrible gas as he dreamt of the horrible horrible word inside his belly.
he was very happy the following am to crap out the f**k.
it was in the end less offensive coming out then it was on the plate, so said tiggy.

TWo Story Poles , Riverside Park, Spokane

the top one is my favorite.
take away the camera he could be bowing down in honour of this totem pole.
but he has the stance of a digital photographer look i dont even have to put my face to the camera....
it was a good ten years ago my niece and nephew wondered where the screen was on the back of my film camera- giving it the look as if it was the most rubbish thing ever for not immediately showing you the image...
my daughter is yet to learn an appreciation of film ...
i am working on setting up a dark room i need a surface  and the chemicals , some bulk film may be nice....
can i give magic to a process that doesn't provide immediate satisfaction?
am i just out of date..
